Meet Lauren Sybil

Author. Late bloomer. Professional boundary builder.

I wrote this book after surviving silence, performance, and grief that didn't ask for permission.

I’m not a guru. I’m a woman who turned my softest truths into a story.
If this story sounds like yours—welcome.
This space is for you.

Lauren Sybil is a proud Gen X woman, mother, wife, executive producer of miracles, and recovering perfectionist.

Raised in New York, now based in Florida, she spent two decades working in global events at one of the world’s largest financial institutions—while also navigating loss, love, reinvention, and more than a few plot twists.

Known for her quiet strength, relentless humor, and side-eye wisdom, Lauren writes the way she lives: honestly, lovingly, and always with a killer playlist in the background.

Love, Loss, and Lies is her first book—and her first time telling her truth out loud.

She lives with her husband, U.B., their daughter “Her Majesty,” and the memory of their son Malik, who remains part of everything they do.

When she’s not working, writing or speaking to book clubs, you’ll find her marinating something soulful, texting back a few days late, and reminding grown women that softness is not surrender.

Born in Long Island. Truth-telling writer. Kombucha drinker. Boundaries enthusiast.
